Current quotes for SHINE SKIN are very low. This concerns the former good crop forecast. Today`s weak Chinese Yuan against the USD promotes sales in USD. We expect a recovery of the Chinese economy with gaining YUAN. Farmers are currently harvesting the SHINE SKIN kernels, and yields are low. Consequently, exporters are afraid to sell too cheaply.

2022-08-26 | New crop Sunflowers are going firmer in the Black Sea-region
Harvesting has started in the critical EU-growing countries Bulgaria and Romania. Yields are not suitable due to drought. In Bulgaria, a large harvest of around 2.2 million MT was expected due to the expanded area under cultivation. This figure is now being revised downwards to 1.7 - 1.8 million MT. In Romania, the situation is even more worrying. Here we expect a 30% drop from 3 million MT in 2021 to 2.1 million MT this year for the 2022 harvest. The oil content is currently 15% below the previous year. Bulgarian and Romanian farmers only sell limited quantities to make room in their silos for the new harvest. They consider today's prices to be too low. Raw material prices in both countries are currently around USD 610 - 620.00 p.MT field run with a rising daily trend. All market participants are watching Ukraine with bated breath. After all, 700,000 MT of raw material was exported to Bulgaria from March to July this year. It was the old crop. Currently, however, Ukrainian traders are calling for USD 670.00 p.MT DAP Bulgaria and are thus quoting higher than the Romanian and Bulgarian farmers.
